County Recording.
Done In Person.
We physically take your notarized documents to the County Clerk-Recorder's office and stand at the counter until they're recorded — no mail, no middlemen, no lost originals. Notarization, recording fees, and return delivery all handled for you.
We Go to the Counter. You Don't.
Most services tell you to mail your document to the Recorder and hope. We drive it there, hand it to the clerk, and bring back the recorded original.
No Mail, No Middlemen
We physically walk your notarized documents into the County Clerk-Recorder's office and hand them to the counter clerk. No envelopes, no tracking numbers, no "lost in the mail" — your originals never leave our custody until they're recorded.
Home-County Advantage
Danville sits in Contra Costa County — our home jurisdiction. We know the Martinez recording counter, the fee schedule, and the margin requirements cold. We also record in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Solano counties.
Recording-Ready Notarization
If your document still needs notarizing, we execute it with the correct California acknowledgment certificate and a stamp legible enough to satisfy the Recorder's microfilm requirements (Govt. Code §8207) — the #1 reason documents get rejected at the counter.
Recorded Originals Returned to You
Once recorded, your stamped original is returned to you via tracked delivery — or held for pickup. The official recording number and instrument stamp are on the document, ready for your file, your title company, or your attorney.
All-Inclusive Service Tiers
Every tier includes notarization (if needed), in-person recording at the county counter, all county recording fees, and tracked return delivery of your recorded original.

From Notarized to Recorded
A document isn't on the public record until the Clerk-Recorder stamps it. We own every step from notarization to that stamp.
You give us the document
Drop off, email, or we pick up. If it's already notarized, we review it for recording compliance. If it still needs notarizing, we notarize it first — with a stamp and acknowledgment that will pass the Recorder's counter.
We prep for recording
We confirm the property county, verify margins and page size (8.5"×11"), check the APN on deeds, complete the "Recording Requested By / Mail To" block, and calculate the exact county recording fees.
We drive to the Clerk-Recorder
We physically take your original to the County Clerk-Recorder's office — Martinez for Contra Costa, Oakland for Alameda, San Jose for Santa Clara, Redwood City for San Mateo, Fairfield for Solano. We stand at the counter until it's accepted.
Fees are paid, document is recorded
We pay the recording fees on your behalf (base $14 first page, $3 each additional page in Contra Costa; varies by county). The Clerk-Recorder stamps the instrument number, date, and book/page onto your original.
Recorded original returned to you
We return your recorded original — tracked delivery or pickup — with the official recording number. You now have a legally recorded document on the public record, ready for title, escrow, or court.
Documents We Record
Any document authorized by law to be recorded — as long as it's properly notarized and the property sits in the county where we're recording.
Don't see your document type? Call us — if it's recordable, we'll record it.
Counties We Record In
We physically drive to each of these Clerk-Recorder offices. Contra Costa is our home county — the fastest turnaround and no travel surcharge.
Need a county outside the Bay Area? Call us — we'll quote a travel fee or arrange courier recording.
Apostille Is for International. Recording Is for the Public Record Here.
An Apostille certifies a document for use in another country — we courier it to the Secretary of State in Sacramento. Recording puts a document on the official property record here in California — we drive it to the County Clerk-Recorder. Same chain-of-custody philosophy, two different destinations.
Private by design.
Sensitive documents deserve a private process. We've built our workflow so the signer, the payment, and the documents each stay exactly where they should.
Private Payment Links
A frictionless signing experience for your clients.
Protect your client's focus during important signings by handling fees behind the scenes. We provide a secure digital payment link directly to your firm so you can cover the notary service as part of your engagement — sparing your client the awkwardness of handling payments at the table.
Prefer to have the client settle directly? We'll arrange payment with the client after the execution of the documents. Their transaction remains entirely between them and Alamo Notary.
FedEx Delivery of Executed Documents
Once every document is signed and notarized, we package the executed set and ship it via FedEx — tracked and insured — to your office, your client, or the county recorder. No hand-carry risk, no “lost in the mail” surprises. You always know exactly where the documents are.
